The International Federation on Ageing, or IFA, is an international, non-governmental organization (NGO) whose members come from government, academia and industry, with individuals in nearly 80 countries. IFA believes that all these members working together are essential to help shape and influence policy and good practice. The role of IFA is to champion the agenda for the world’s ageing population. It has general consultative status within the United Nations and is a non-State actor in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO).
